WHO IS BEHIND OUR NEW LOOK?
You may have noticed our new and improved website!
What you may have not known is that we worked closely with Mitali Mehta to update the site with an eye towards making it more accessible, more inclusive, more intentional as well as user-friendly and easily navigable for both young people to learn about our programs and supporters who want to learn more about how to help.
Mitali first started working with Sadie Nash in the fall of 2017 when she was studying for a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design. She loves to visually showcase concepts and mission-driven campaigns through impactful design. As such, we asked Mitali some questions and this is what she had to say:
What are 3 things you bring to the Sadie Nash community?
5 years of design experience working with nonprofits across NYC and creating design portfolios for more than 20 organizations.
Reading the hearts and minds of organizations, understanding their mission and collectively bringing that vision to life.
Bringing my life experiences into my work. Having lived in different parts of the world, I have been fortunate to be surrounded by diverse communities which has in turn opened up and informed my design aesthetic.
What are some of your interests/ What should people ask you about?
Best coffee shops in NYC. I’ve visited quite a few when I lived there and studied at Parsons, so I know them well.
Travel tips and recommendations because I love to travel and explore new places.
Taking photos! I am the go-to person when friends want photos.
What is your favorite quote that inspires your approach to Sadie Nash’s work?
“Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher.” – Oprah Winfrey
